About SkyGUARD
SkyGUARD was founded to bring professional-grade aerial documentation to homeowners, contractors, and adjusters who need clear answers fast — without putting anyone at risk.
Aviation has been a constant thread throughout my life. I'm currently working toward my Private Pilot Certificate — a goal that grew naturally from years of hands-on work in and around aircraft. That passion for flight led me to enlist as a Chinook Helicopter Mechanic (15-U) with the Nebraska Army National Guard, where I work on one of the most capable heavy-lift helicopters in the U.S. military.
I'm Kaden Wegner, co-founder of SkyGUARD. Growing up with a hands-on technical background — from aircraft systems to software development — I've always been drawn to solving real problems with precision tools.
My time in the Guard has taught me that documentation isn't optional. In aviation maintenance, a record that's unclear or incomplete can have real consequences. I brought that same standard to roof inspections — every photo labeled, every finding summarized, every deliverable shareable and professionally structured.
I'm also a co-owner of Service Affiliates Nebraska, focused on property damage documentation and contracting. That experience working directly with contractors and adjusters showed me a gap: the industry needed faster, safer, and more consistent aerial documentation. SkyGUARD is my answer to that gap.
Qualified, insured, and authorized to operate where others can't.
Federal certification required for all commercial drone operations in the United States. Covers airspace regulations, weather minimums, and operational safety requirements.
Every flight is covered. Contractors and property owners can request a certificate of insurance prior to any job.
Authorized to operate within the controlled airspace surrounding Offutt Air Force Base — an authorization most operators don't hold.
Professional hardware and a hands-on approach to every deliverable.
Dual-camera platform with a 1/1.3" CMOS main sensor, 48MP stills, 4K60 video, and omnidirectional obstacle sensing. Compact enough for residential work, capable enough for large commercial roofs.
48MP captures on every flight. Orthomosaic top-down, slope-angle, and close-up detail shots — consistent framing and naming on every job so nothing gets lost in review.
Every report is put together personally — not auto-generated. Photos are selected, labeled, and annotated by hand so the finished document actually communicates something useful.
Before every flight we confirm we're clear of restricted or controlled airspace and that our operations are fully compliant with current FAA regulations.
Fast turnaround, professional documentation, no ladders required.
